United Way of Greater Los Angeles and the Housing Authority of the
City of Los Angeles are looking for volunteers who can help homeless and low-income individuals/families obtain Section 8 housing vouchers.
Volunteers are needed on a weekly/monthly basis for this ongoing engagement to:
• Work with clients to complete required paperwork
• Offer language translation services
(including Spanish, Russian, Armenian, Korean, Chinese and American Sign Language)
• Assist clients with cognitive impairments
Volunteers will receive free training and a certificate of completion (awarded by United Way and HACLA). Enjoy flexible hours and gain valuable experience by assisting homeless and low-income individuals/families secure public housing.
Training Sessions Are Scheduled For:
Tuesday, April 24th and Thursday, April 26th
3:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m.
