City National Bank is First Stop for “Faces of Homelessness” Traveling Art Exhibit
From September 20 to October 19, City National Bank – a proud supporter of United Way’s mission to Create Pathways Out of Poverty – is hosting a traveling art exhibition entitled “Faces of Homelessness: Bringing Our Neighbors Home for Good.”
A variety of works by acclaimed artists Stuart Perlman and Gaelle Morand are currently on display in the lobby of the bank’s downtown L.A. offices and are intended to raise awareness of the ongoing homelessness crisis while also promoting UWGLA’s similarly titled two-day art exhibition at the Downtown L.A. Art Walk in October.
Proceeds from next month’s event will benefit the joint initiative between United Way of Greater Los Angeles and the L.A. Area Chamber of Commerce known as Home for Good – a comprehensive action plan to end chronic and veteran homelessness by 2016.
The traveling exhibit of fine art which poignantly depicts the plight of the local homeless population is available for display in office tower lobbies, churches, indoor malls and various other venues.
