The Home For Good Year 2, Quarter 3 Report is out!
Home For Good’s Year 2, Quarter 3 report was released this week. We are excited to announce that, thanks to the work of our Home For Good Partners, at the end of this quarter 2,319 chronically homeless individuals and 985 non-chronic veterans have been housed!
Other major accomplishments over the last quarter include:
- To date, 67 cities have opted in to the L.A. Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA) January 2013 Homeless Count. This more than doubles the number of cities that opted in to the 2011 Count, making this the most comprehensive Count in Los Angeles history!
- There are 16 “Count Plus” communities organized by LAHSA and the 100K Homes Campaign. These communities will conduct surveys of their homeless neighbors during the January Homeless Count, providing an in-depth understanding of the housing and services needs in their community.
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who participated in this year’s HomeWalk! It was incredible to see over 10,000 people walking and sending the message that we can and will end homelessness. United Way intern, Brad Rowe, captured the day’s events beautifully in this blog piece.
As the year comes to a close, we look forward to sharing end of year updates with you in early 2013.
