2012 LA Taco Festival: Creating Community & Raising Awareness About Youth Homelessness

2012 LA Taco Festival: Creating Community & Raising Awareness About Youth Homelessness

Each year, Jovenes, Inc. (Youth, Inc.) seeks opportunities to celebrate our youth, heritage, and future. Jovenes, Inc wants to bring our community together, highlight progress that is being made, and work to end youth homelessness on the streets of Los Angeles.

The 2012 LA Taco Festival is one of these chances. Held in the heart of Boyle Heights, the festival will bring together community stake-holders of all kinds; youth musicians and professional artists, community based organizations, food vendors, businesses and Angelinos of all kinds. The 2012 LA Taco Festival will be bigger and more successful than last year’s event by showcasing more artistic talents and by bringing in the tastiest taco vendors that Boyle Heights and East LA have to offer! Thousands of people are anticipated to attend this free community event.

The 2012 LA Taco Festival will be held August 4th from 12 pm – 8 pm at Mariachi Plaza on 1st Street and Boyle Ave. Proceeds from this event will support housing programs for Jovenes, Inc., enabling the agency to continue working to end youth homelessness on the streets of Los Angeles.
