Christine Margiotta
Vice President, Community Impact

Christine Margiotta leads a team that harnesses Los Angeles’ collective power to create large-scale community transformation. She believes real change depends on a bold vision, clear data, and appreciating human relationships and connections.

In 2010, Christine launched Home For Good, United Way’s initiative to end homelessness. She cultivated collaboration among more than 200 cross-sector leaders to design, fund, and implement solutions to homelessness. Home For Good has brought together public and private funders, leveraging $438 million through the Funders Collaborative. It has also prompted hundreds of stakeholders to co-create a groundbreaking Coordinated Entry System.

Christine brings over a decade of experience in policy change, community organizing, and direct service.  She received her Master’s of Social Work from UCLA and teaches policy and community change at Whittier College. She lives in downtown Los Angeles with her wife Becky, their son Huck, and a pug named Esther.
