In a joint effort with the Center for Asset Building Opportunity (CABO) and the Los Angeles Community Development Department (LACDD), United Way of Greater Los Angeles has established the Financial Coaching Network (FCN) pilot program.
This program focuses on increasing the capacity of cases managers and their ability to assist in the financial development of their organizations' clients using a model provided by The Financial Clinic (TFC) - a nonprofit organization which seeks to assist the working poor in numerous ways.
This unique approach seeks to leverage the strengths of 10 nonprofits and their commitment to overcoming real and perceived barriers by establishing a collaborative anti-poverty initiative and merging services that were once competitive in order to create a synergistic effort to maximize program and community resources throughout Los Angeles County.
