Summary:
This report updates the indicator, grades, and action agenda from the 2003 Latino Scorecard Report. It examines the state of L.A. Latinos using five important indicators of overall well-being: health, education, economic development, housing and public safety. The report also provides recommendations on each of these indicators to better serve the Latino population.
Key Findings:

Latinos in L.A. have higher rates of poverty than any racial or ethnic group

Juvenile homicide rates for Latinos in L.A. decreased 50 percent between the years 2001 and 2003.

Latinos have the highest labor force participation rate among race or ethnic groups at 78 percent, compared to 72 percent of whites, 67 percent of African-Americans and 66 percent of Asians.
