Homelessness in Los Angeles County
For too long, Los Angeles County has been the homeless capital of the nation. In 2013, the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA) reported 58,423 individuals experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles County. Almost 7,000 of these individuals are Veterans and 15,000 are chronically homeless. We cannot continue to simply manage homelessness in our communities; we must take action to end it.
