During peak campaign season, United Way calls on its corporate partners to lend their best and brightest employees to assist UWGLA staff in the development and implementation of workplace campaigns.
Loaned Executives lend their energy and expertise to help expand fundraising efforts, reach new markets, broaden community giving and keep operating costs low by maximizing staff and volunteer resources.
In return, United Way provides a unique management program which develops sales and leadership skills as well as an understanding of constituent involvement. The program is a worthwhile investment for the sponsoring company, the Loaned Executive and the community as a whole.

Each year, from August to December, current staff members or retired alumni are “loaned” to UWGLA by its corporate partners to serve as full-time employees for the organization’s annual fundraising campaign.
Ideal candidates include:
Companies that are unable to provide a full-time worker can still make a difference with a sponsorship commitment of $15,000 which will cover the cost of hiring one full-time campaign employee.
The Loaned Executive Program also assists United Way in providing its donors with a superior level of customer service, increasing its efficiency as an organization and advancing its core mission to Create Pathways Out of Poverty for all Angelenos.
