United Way of Greater Los Angeles Tocqueville Society has been at the forefront of Los Angeles County’s philanthropic community for over 20 years. This exclusive group is committed to breaking the cycle of poverty by investing in long-term solutions to create lasting change.

• Move a homeless family off the street by covering their first month’s rent and security deposit.
• Help a student achieve her dream of college by providing one-on-one counseling and support with SATs and college applications.
• Give 8 struggling families the chance to increase their income through free tax preparation, and reclaim an average of $800 each.
• Provide 4 weeks of medical treatment for a chronically homeless person.
• Help a child graduate by providing her parents with the critical training needed to support her success in school.

Tocqueville Society Cabinet 2010-2011

The Tocqueville Cabinet is the governing body that provides the leadership and direction for United Way of Greater Los Angeles’ Tocqueville Society. Cabinet members are not only generous United Way donors but also graciously give of their time and expertise to fundraise and help plan the memorable events that are exclusively for the Tocqueville Society.
