Sarah and children

After fleeing an abusive with her two kids, Sarah found herself with nowhere to go. After spending the night in her car, she sought help from a United Way funded agency. A case manager placed Sara and her family in an emergency shelter and helped her find a temporary job.

With support from her case manager and a lot of hard work, she was able to find a permanent job and an apartment she could afford. She and her children are flourishing and have found a sense of community with the tight-knit group of parents whose children are enrolled in the same program.
