Next Monday, November 11th, is Veterans Day, a date to recognize the men and women who have served our country, and to give support to honor of their service.

In Los Angeles, almost 7,000 veterans live on our streets. This number is expected to increase dramatically over the next few years as more veterans return home.  At Home For Good our partners work to support veterans on the streets in finding a permanent place to call home, ending veteran homelessness in LA County by 2016. We work towards a day when we can celebrate a new kind of Veterans Day, a day without any homeless veterans.

Below is a list of local Veterans Day service events and celebrations:

2nd Annual Veterans Appreciation Day

Saturday, November 9th

10m-4pm

The Port of LA

2nd Annual Downtown LA Veterans Stand Down

Monday, November 11th
