SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA WILDFIRE AND FLOOD FUND GRANTS

APPLY NOW: SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA WILDFIRE AND FLOOD FUND GRANTS

Thanks to donations from the public and organizations including 21st Century Fox, Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, Edison International, the Los Angeles Rams, and Southern California Gas Company, United Way’s Southern California Wildfire and Flood Fund has raised more than $570,000 to date to support intermediate and long-term recovery and rebuilding efforts for low-income families affected by the wildfires, floods, and mudslides that recently devastated several local regions.  Funding will be allocated based on need to San Diego, Los Angeles, Ventura, and Santa Barbara counties.

Applications for funding will be available starting February 7, 2018 and will be awarded in two phases.

Phase I

Grants awarded in this phase will go toward efforts to stabilize the economic and housing situations of low-income families affected. Eligible categories include relocation and move-in costs, housing and rental assistance, workforce development services and more.

Applications for Phase 1 are open now through February 23.

Grants for Phase 1 will be awarded early March.

Phase II

Grants awarded in this phase will go toward efforts to improve the homes and community spaces directly impacted. Eligible categories include home improvement not covered by insurance or public funds, neighborhood improvements, preparedness for future disasters, and more.

Applications for Phase II will open in late March.
