Over 5,000 people came together at Exposition Park recently for United Way's 5K walk to end homelessness, HomeWalk. As part of the event, walkers signed letters to their elected officials, urging them to reallocate resources to permanent supportive housing, a proven solution to chronic homelessness. Participants also had the opportunity to learn about organizations that are working to end homelessness in their neighborhood and how they can get involved.
