Recently, 25 volunteers from the NFL Networks in Culver City gathered at United Way partner campus, Webster Middle School, for the Annual Hometown Huddle.
Volunteers had a blast working side-by-side with Webster Leadership students renovating different aspects of the school campus. Activities included refurbishing lunch tables, adding state names and capitals to an existing United States map as well as painting a map of the world from scratch onto the recreation-area blacktop.
Since 1999, NFL teams, leadership and staff have participated in a variety of hands-on community service projects, known collectively as Hometown Huddle. This NFL-United Way partnership is a league-wide day of service designed to bring awareness and impact to the issues of education and youth engagement.
Special thanks to United Way partner organization, L.A. Works, for coordinating such a fun and engaging event!
