With the help of our generous corporate leaders, we are building a better Los Angeles. Every week, we highlight our top corporate leaders and salute them for helping us create pathways out of poverty. United Way of Greater Los Angeles extends a huge thanks to these leaders and corporations working with us to permanently break the cycle of poverty for our most vulnerable neighbors: families, children, veterans and the homeless.
Company: Deborah Lee & PwC
Deborah Lee, Partner at PwC, shared experiences from her recent United Way Worldwide trip to Asia.
Deborah Lee, a Partner from PwC and one of United Way of Greater Los Angeles’ Women Leaders, recently joined a delegation from the United Way Worldwide Leadership Council that spent over a week in Shanghai, Beijing, and Taipei. Along with her group, Deborah had the opportunity to explore these culturally rich regions, as well as meeting with philanthropic, business, and civic leaders to exchange ideas and views on how we can all work together to make a difference in our communities.
PwC, the winner of the Outstanding Tocqueville Campaign award last year, is home to many of our Leadership and Tocqueville donors. In addition to the contributions made by champions like Deborah, PwC also co-sponsored the recent Tocqueville Talks event that took place on November 12 (see below). United Way of Greater Los Angeles would like to salute Deborah and the entire team at PwC for their continued leadership and commitment in helping us create Pathways Out of Poverty at home in Los Angeles and all over the world!
Company: Dominic Ng & East West Bank
Dominic Ng, Chairman and CEO of East West Bank, was the special guest at the November 12 Tocqueville Talks event.
Tocqueville Society members from all over Los Angeles came together on November 12 for Tocqueville Talks, an intimate evening of friendship, business, and philanthropy. The event featured special guest, Dominic Ng, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from East West Bank, as he shared his views on philanthropy in Los Angeles and the impact that United Way is having in our communities.
East West Bank has long been one of United Way’s premier corporate partners and thanks to their leadership and support, United Way of Greater Los Angeles can continue to fight on behalf of those that are most vulnerable to poverty in our communities.
As evidenced by their recognition as the Model Campaign of the Year and Outstanding Women Leaders Campaign at the Annual Philanthropy Awards last year, East West Bank continues to be one of the true leaders in leading the charge to break the cycle of poverty in Los Angeles. Thank you to Dominic and to everyone at East West Bank for your continued partnership and leadership!
