United Way of Greater Los Angeles’ Emerging Leaders is a network of passionate young professionals dedicated to developing philanthropic leadership skills. Emerging Leaders build connections with other influential leaders, pursue professional development opportunities, and participate in volunteer initiatives, such as mentoring students in United Way's Young Civic Leaders Program.
Emerging Leaders donate at least $1,000 annually to United Way of Greater Los Angeles and take advantage of a number of benefits.

+ Invitations to exclusive Emerging Leaders events that offer professional development, networking and thought leadership programs

Membership Committee
The Membership Committee creates and executes a recruitment and retention strategy for Emerging Leaders. As United Way ambassadors, committee members attend networking events, meet with prospective donors and deliver fundraising presentations.
Volunteering Committee
The Volunteering Committee creates and executes volunteer opportunities for Emerging Leaders, including the Young Civic Leaders Program and the HomeWalk 5K Run/Walk.
Programming Committee
The Programming Committee creates and oversees Emerging Leaders programs and events. Committee members also work with the cabinet to seek sponsorships, advance community building efforts and manage member orientation.
