United Way of Greater Los Angeles is proud to partner with the National Association of Letter Carriers and Labor Community Services for the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, an annual nationwide effort to stock the pantries of local food banks.
On Saturday, May 12, more than 200,000 letter carriers across the United States will collect and deliver the donations to local food banks and hunger-relief organizations in more than 10,000 communities.
Volunteers are needed to sort and package food throughout May and June. Last year, more than 1,200 volunteers helped sort 1.5 million pounds of food and helped feed over 60,000 families. Interested in volunteering? Click here to register.
Can't make it to a sorting session but still want to get involved? On Saturday, May 12, 2018 simply place a bag containing nonperishable foods next to your mailbox before your mail delivery person arrives. You can also bring a bag of food directly to any post office!
