Electricity is a basic necessity. Because of unexpected expenses, many customers find themselves facing financial hardship.
Southern California Edison (SCE) and United Way of Greater Los Angeles are committed to providing critical support to those when they need it most.
In partnership with the United Way, SCE offers financial relief through the Energy Assistance Fund (EAF) to customers struggling to pay their electricity bills. The fund provides an opportunity for qualified households to receive up to $100 to be applied toward their SCE energy bill. In addition, the United Way of Greater Los Angeles was the recipient of a grant from SCE to support its Creating Pathways Out of Poverty work and to administer the Energy Assistance Fund.
Since EAF started in 1982, Southern California Edison has partnered with the United Way of Greater Los Angeles to provide one-time bill payments of up to $100 for nearly 250,000 qualified Southern California households. Last year alone, 15,000 SCE customers received help!
