Summertime isn’t just a chance for students to recuperate after a year in the classroom. For many students, it’s also the best opportunity for real-world, workplace experiences that will prepare them for college and beyond.

We are incredibly thankful to the companies and organizations that came on board to offer Linked learning internships this year, such as Target, Neighborhood Legal Services Los Angeles (NLSLA), and South Bay Center for Counseling. Your support makes such a difference in the lives of students such as Juan.

Watch as Juan talks about how his summer internship taught him valuable skills for the future.

As Juan understands, students need a wealth of experience in order to succeed after college and United Way of Greater Los Angeles is supporting them on that journey. Watch as our Director of Education Programs, Elmer Roldan, explains why students need a variety of internship opportunities.
