Supporting People in Crisis

Here to help

For more than 100 years, we’ve held to the belief that we can do more together than we can alone. Tapping into our collective ability to help, we multiply contributions and hard work into immediate relief for neighbors who need food, housing, healthcare, and financial assistance.

How we meet the need

Emergency Food & Shelter Program

This federal program funds organizations combating food and housing insecurity in their communities, empowering local groups to provide direct support when people need it most.

Everyone In

Everyone In is a community-driven effort to end homelessness by advocating for policies that will increase access to supportive and affordable housing, and communicating with thousands of people across L.A. County about those housing solutions.

Home For Good

Home For Good unites funders, service providers, elected officials, government agencies, and community members around shared strategies to end homelessness for our nearly 70,000 unhoused neighbors.

Utility Assistance

Since 1982, we’ve partnered with Southern California Edison and SoCalGas® to provide vital utility assistance to people facing financial hardship.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance

We’re working with our partners to expand access to free tax preparation through Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA), helping low-income families maximize their returns and stay afloat financially.
